The Cthulu Corp - an international group made up of 3 archiologists,a deep mining specialist,a professor of ancient language, 2 cave divers,a tectonic geophysicist, and a 4 man security team, discover an ancient tomb deep within an unexpolored cavern beneath the drakensburg mountains in South Africa.
Within its depths the find a glowing crystal that resembles a huge eye, upon touching it there was a flash of light and all present found themselves transformed.
They were each granted power by the great dark one that lurks beneath the sea, to serve as protectors from a threat more ancient then even him...

The MOP's previous identity was Vaughn Fielding an expert cave diver and friend of Rick Mercer. His transformation was extremely painful as a spawn of Shugg Niggurath (the black goat of the woods with a thousand young) attached itself to his face,wormig its tenatcles into Vaughns brain. This ordeal has granted the MOP with incredibly Psychic powers, including telepathy,premonition,remote viewing,telekinises and the ability to control the minds of others.
